Gently hand wash in cool water with a mild soap. Never use harsh detergents or chlorine bleach.
As with all fine fabrics, do not use harsh detergents or chlorine bleach on silk, as it will erode the fibre and discolour the fabric.
Do not wring or twist, roll in a towel and press gently to remove excess water.
Never use direct sunlight to dry silk, doing so can damage the silk fibre and fade the colour.
Hang silk to dry in the shade, silk garments will hold their shape.
A few tablespoons of white vinegar in the rinse water neutralize alkali traces and to dissolve soap residue and prolong the life of your garment.
If ironing is required use a cool iron (silk setting)

DRY CLEANING

Alpaca Care Instructions

Silk Care Instructions

Recommended for coats, blankets, fur and accessories.

Perchloroethylene is the most commonly used solvent in the dry cleaning business,
it is highly toxic and will reduce the life of your garments.
We recommend that our customers look into green dry cleaners or organic dry cleaning services that use safer and non-toxic
methods such as liquid CO2 or silicone based solvents.

Bring with you any labels or hang tags that contain information about composition and care instructions.
Inform the cleaner of any spots or stains, they will want to treat some stains before the dry cleaning process.

If absolutely necessary follow the same directions as per Alpaca dry cleaning.

STORAGE

Never hang Alpaca knitwear as it may lose it's shape, fold your Alpaca garment when storing. Protect your garments from insect damage when stored.
